Advanced Car Control Clinic - November 30

Salinas Municipal Airport

About this event

The Advanced CCC is back. ACCC exercises are larger, faster, and more challenging than the GGC’s entry-level CCC format. Prior experience in a CCC, autocross, HPDE or equivalent is required, as we expect to progress rapidly beyond the basics.

Approved helmets are required for this event. A small number loaner helmets will be available.

You will need to complete a Minor Waiver if you are under 18. A valid driver’s license is required. Two-driver cars are allowed—with each driver registering separately.

The November 2024 Advanced Car Control Clinic will be held at Salinas Airport. Check-in for registered students opens at 8:00 AM. Lunch is included. Additional lunches for guests can be purchased at an additional cost. The event concludes at 5:30 PM.

The Advanced CCC is intended for drivers interested in improved street safety, improved car control skills for autocross, or for drivers who want an extra level of preparation before attending a High Performance Driving School at a track.

Each participant receives personalized instruction provided by experienced club instructors.

Before registering, please read the entire Car Control Clinic Overview for important information and required forms for the day of the event. Please also see the FAQs.

Event requirements

Registration must be made in advance by filling out and submitting an online application. The roster will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Each driver must register separately in their own name and have their own Motorsportreg.com account. Only on-line credit card payment or electronic check will be accepted. You may not register at the event.

You must be a member of the BMW Car Club of America to participate.

With non-member registration, you purchase your BMW CCA membership with your registration. Alternatively, you may contact the national office at 1-800-878-9292 to become a member. You do not have to own a BMW to join the BMW CCA.

If you live in a household with an active member, you may call the national office of the BMW CCA to become an associate member for $10. If you go that route, provide your associate membership number with your registration.

Unlike our other CCC events, helmets are required for the clinic. Your helmet must meet the BMW CCA’s helmet standards and must be inspected at check-in - 2015 or newer SA or M rated helmet. A small number of loaner helmets will be available at the event - please select a loaner helmet during your online registration if you will need one.

Your car will have to pass a technical inspection at the event. The tech inspection form will be sent to registered students ahead of time (as part of the Student Packet) to allow you to check your car ahead of time.

We do not allow SUVs at the clinic due to their high center of gravity. Convertibles are allowed at the clinic. If there is a question about the appropriateness of your vehicle, please contact us at carcontrol@ggcbmwcca.org.
